Feel the power of air in motion with Catching Air, a dynamic STEM exhibit that invites children to explore how air moves, lifts, and travels. Located at the entrance of the museum, this floor-to-ceiling pneumatic tube system lets young scientists choose, launch, and guide lightweight objects as they whoosh through transparent tunnels.

Designed in partnership with and funded by the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (APCD), this exhibit offers a hands-on introduction to the science of air pressure, velocity, and environmental awareness. It's exciting, educational and just plain fun.
